Schloss Tannenfeld

I made this reportage in 2013. To protect the location, I left the photographs unpublished for a long time afterwards.

The former castle had served various purposes and was empty during my visit. I had only limited time to take photographs, so this series shows just part of the interior.

Reports of a sale and a new use appeared later. Without up-to-date confirmation, I do not present those as its current status. The pictures belong to that visit.

The photographed rooms are fairly plain. Windows, wallpaper, radiators and an occasional remaining piece of furniture define the images. That does not make them any less worthwhile as a subject. Spaces like these are easily forgotten when only the most elaborate hall or staircase is recorded. This limited series shows what there was to photograph during this visit.
