This railway bridge was heavily used by industry for many years. By the time I visited, it had already been abandoned for several years.
At first glance, the bridge did not seem a particularly exciting subject. For me, the challenge lay in different viewpoints and playing with depth of field.
I could only guess at its future. As with the vanished industry around it, it felt unlikely that as many trains would ever pass over it again.
From a low viewpoint, rails and sleepers lead toward the arch. In another picture, the steel structure along the side takes the main role. The bridge stays the same, but the arrangement within the image changes. With a subject offering few separate details, that was exactly the exercise I was looking for.
