When I visited Usine LR, much of the halls was already empty. The former work had gone, but the building still had enough left to warrant more than a quick look inside.
The light across the floor and the remaining technical components made the series. On the business reason for closure, I limit myself to the information available at the time: production was consolidated elsewhere. I do not add more precise company details on the basis of the alias alone.
In the wide view, the roof structure and the light across the floor are especially visible. The remaining machines offer a very different image, with rust, pipes and small spaces between heavy parts. The vast emptiness and those remaining details belong together. The overview alone would suggest there was hardly anything left to see.
