Heavy Metal (2015)

After my first visit to Heavy Metal, I wanted to return. In 2013, I had only been able to photograph a limited amount inside, partly because my tripod had stayed in the car.

It took until 2015 before a more extensive second visit happened. The condition of the site had changed in the meantime. The photographs therefore show not only more parts of the factory, but also a later stage of the same vacancy.

This time, the factory was recorded more fully. Alongside the large halls, the series includes control cabinets, working floors and machines. These are the elements that easily disappear in a first overview. Looking at the 2013 and 2015 images side by side makes clear how much an industrial site can change in a short time.

  1. Goedemorgen Marco,

    Groet Pieter
    uit Vlaardingen
