HFB — Haut Fourneau B — was a large steel complex. On our first visit, we were able to spend a whole day photographing. Together, the grounds and buildings formed a maze.
On the second visit, some places were difficult to find again. Much had also changed. Stripped cable remnants lay in more places, and installations had been damaged.
Fortunately, we also found rooms that we had missed the first time and that remained fairly complete. That was much less true of the control room by the blast furnace. The two visits show how quickly an industrial complex can change after work stops.
From a control room, you look out at the large installation. The buttons, windows and view connect the work of people with a factory that becomes almost too large to understand in an overview. Such rooms interest me at least as much as the blast furnace itself. By a later visit, some of them could already have disappeared or been badly damaged.

Hallo,
Zoals beveiliging.
Ik hoop een reactie terug te zien.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Britt
