Château Sécession

Château Sécession had been uninhabited for a long time when I arrived. The location had become well known within a short time and attracted many visitors.

Not everyone left the belongings alone. Objects had been moved or disappeared. Other groups were walking around even on the weekday of our visit. That considerably affected my impression of the property.

Different dates are given for its early history. Without a convincing source and comparison of images, I do not add them to this story. The interior I photographed myself is the starting point.

Panelling, large windows and more elaborate ceiling finishes remain inside. Some objects are conspicuously arranged. I do not take those arrangements as evidence of the original furnishings. In such a frequently visited property, its condition during my visit is the only thing I can record myself; what earlier visitors changed remains part of the uncertainty.
